Edelweiss goes live with eeDepart
2e Systems is pleased to announce the release of eeDepart online check-in for Edelweiss Air. Edelweiss passengers flying out to select holiday destinations can now benefit from an online check-in application that makes the process as smooth and effortless as possible. The service is also offered to customers of Edelweiss partner airlines.
As part of the eeDepart solution, passengers can now receive their boarding passes in a variety of formats, including print-at-home and mobile options. This ensures that regardless of the devices they use, Edelweiss passengers will be able to choose the most convenient format to always have their boarding passes handy. Mobile boarding passes can be imported into apps such as Apple Wallet and Android Passwallet.
The eeDepart solution also gives Edelweiss passengers the ability to change their seat allocation at the time of check-in, using an interactive seat map that displays the arrangement of seats in the relevant aircraft. In addition to this, passengers will be able to retrieve group bookings, check in infants and unaccompanied minors, and use the "Buddy" functionality to check in friends and family booked on the same flight, but under a separate PNR.
Philipp Federer, Head of Ground Operations at Edelweiss reflected, "We've been extremely impressed with the performance of 2e Systems in implementing the new web check-in platform. The delivery of the system went very smoothly, thanks to the collaborative relationship we've enjoyed with 2e from the beginning."
"It's a real pleasure to work with Edelweiss Air," added Phil Douglas, CEO of 2e Systems. "We're excited to welcome them into the 2e family, and look forward to continuing to work together to provide a superior experience for Edelweiss passengers."
Future developments to the eeDepart solution for Edelweiss will include home printed baggage tags, making the check-in experience even smoother and easier.
