2e Systems signs Swiss for eeDepart
Swiss International Air Lines have recently appointed 2e Systems to provide them with a new online check-in solution. Among the many features being developed, the application will come with a visual makeover and support responsive web design, thus harmonizing the experience for desktop and mobile users. On top of that it will feature home printed baggage tags, THE missing link in most self-service portfolios to date. Passengers demand flexibility during travel, whether for leisure travel or corporate travel, and if the check-in process is online, easy, and mobile, this improves the overall experience for passengers travelling on Swiss.
"2e Systems was selected for their proven ability and experience in delivering state-of-the-art online check-in solutions. Additionally, an advantage for us at Swiss, is the ability of 2e Systems to connect to different airline backend systems and the experience for supporting such cutovers. For passenger convenience in general we are happy to have found a solution that allows for timely adaptations and 2e Systems has demonstrated their fast and flexible approach to development." said Swiss spokesperson Achim Schneider, Head of Ground Services Development.
Phil Douglas, CEO of 2e Systems concurred: "We are delighted to be working with Swiss as one of the world's leading airlines. We recognise the growing trend for airlines to be able to offer on-going enhancements that improve and enrich the passenger experience. 2e Systems aims to deliver a unique solution for Swiss and eeDepart's robust management tool eeManager allows Swiss to maintain significant control over the application; giving them the added advantage to move quickly in a market that is so dynamic and competitive."
The application is in development and will go online at the end of June 2015.
